Friday Afternoon Endocrine Clinic. Saw 20 patients. The disorders these patients had included multiple cases of hyperthroidism (both Graves' disease and toxic multinodular goiter) with one patient being in the second trimester of pregnancy. All patients were treated with propylthiouracil (PTU) because neither Carbimazole nor Methimazole are available in Ethiopia. One 18 year old woman had severe, newly diagnosed (today) Cushing's syndrome.
